I feel like this poem answers so many questions about many channel. It speaks to so many things I'd like to address, it's a part of a process that helps me deal with my feelings, anxiety and different aspects of my growth. I hope if you're a creative person something within it resonates with you.

I'm a painter with a paintbrush
You don't tell me what to paint
You've seen me make masterpieces
never once did you complain
I can capture lots of details
depict a human face
turn the vaguest of landscapes
into a recognizable place
there's no limit to the different kinds of art
I can create
you should see me in the kitchen
serving art up on a plate
you and your numbers don't decide
If I'm good, better, best or great
that's your opinion
keep it to yourself
if you ain't got nothing good to say
Does my hip hop Boom Bap
Click clack, do you get it?
Is my reggae bass line heavy, with that skengae skengae?
I'm saying, you got some fucking nerve you lot
trying to categorize me and put me in a box
I'll be free til they put me in a box eee uhh
or til I'm in an urn cos I'd rather be cremated
put my ashes in a weed plant
so one day again we can faded
I was born into an inheritance of greatness
a tradition of musicians and excellent orators
I'm an instrument for the universe, one song
you think that you can tell that energy how to play me?
or how to manifest all the things that I'm creating?
That's above your pay grade
